Ok, spelling errors aside, you have a great list of songs here. With a couple of exceptions I'd spend an afternoon with you, listening to this list anytime... the only thing I'm not sure about is the point you're trying to make here... unless the point was to make a list of songs you'd love to spend an afternoon listening too. ;~D

EXCEPTIONS EH? DO TELL. THE POINT IS, THAT THE LIST ROCKS.....DUH : 0 )

Yes, it definitely does ROCK!...

Exceptions?

I would trash John Lennon (or is it Lenin) ode to communism "Imagine". The guy never deserved to die, but also never deserved to be considered talented either.

I'd add some Ozzy (with or without Sabbath and Iron Maiden to replace a couple of your Rage Against the Machine selections. Nothing against Zack and the boys, but your list does seem a bit Rage heavy.

It's spelled Skynyrd... but hey what's a Y between friends. ;~D

As I said before, I'd sit all afternoon and listen to the list you made, nothing really wrong with it (except that Lennon fool on the hill, imagine a concert festival with this line up!!

'Wanted: Music Lovers with Taste'

Taste? Not sure quite what you mean by that. I've no doubt that Britney fans consider their taste just as worthy as anybody else's. Personally, I'd start my list with 'Pretty Vacant' by the Sex Pistols (considered tasteLESS by millions ), and I wouldn't be seen dead including anything by, for example, Aerosmith or Lynyrd Skynyrd. That's just a reflection of my musical preferences.

But taste? I think not. Ultimately, aren't you just talking about what you like? (As PT2K says above, 'unless the point was to make a list of songs you'd love to spend an afternoon listening to[o]'.)

Lighten up dude...it was meant to be funny!?! Plus, I never said a Britney lover wouldn't have taste, but you won't find anything resembling that crap on my list. And, to delve into your comments further, why the hell would i call a list of songs "the best ever" if I didn't like them.

So, "ultimately", yes, the best songs ever, include songs that I actually like....strange enough. I wanted to create a post where people would tell me what they like or don't like about the list and find out about some artists that people with similar tastes are into. SHEESH.....Spaz much?

All in all a nice diverse list. Rock on. (said while making heavy metal fingers and sticking my tongue out in Gene Simmons fashion)

Actually as far as the Britney goes even if it isn't "worthy" music, I really enjoy a fluffy, little pop song every now and then. I love the MXPX version of Barbie Girl just because it cracks me up every time it rolls around on my ipod shuffle. The people at my gym probably think I'm crazy. Who am I kidding people everywhere probably think I'm crazy.

These I enjoy, too...
I once tried to do a list of best songs ever..but man, it was quite a long list..I've done a list of sentimental songs, though
(some "fluff", some not). My b/f is a big Rage fan...I like some of their songs, too, but don't quite know them all by title...(yeah, he's probably embarassed for me because of this).

Aerosmith - Dream On
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Hendrix - Purple Haze
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Sorry, those are the only ones I will listen to, and that wouldn't really be by choice either. Oh well, to each his own.

P2TK - Yep, my list is Rage heavy, I'm a huge fan....my apologies. Honestly, I'm not a huge Ozz/Sabbath fan, really. I guess you can say jumped off of the crazy train before it left the station. You seem to have some strong feelings against JL there. I guess I just like the song. But hey, if you're ever in Vegas...

InBloom- Yep quite a long list you had there but there were a couple I wish I would've added. At Last is definitely one of them. And your boyfriend is a keeper. Shout out to my fellow Rage fan.

Locamama- I actually downloaded that song just to hear it and I have to admit, it's fun :0)~

BlueDev-Ouch man, hah! no hard feelings. Give us a few that would be on your list!

Hey, no need to apologize, Rage ain't bad at all... I would just tend to not let any one band or artist dominate a "best" or even "favorites" list.

if I'm ever in Vegas... I'll look you up.
